Gush Toplumy Individual Enterprise Underwent Certification Audit Against ISO 9001 and ISO 22000

Gush Toplumy Individual Enterprise, a company engaged in the production of chicken carcasses in Turkmenistan, has undergone a certification audit conducted by the international certification body CERT International.

As part of the audit, the company’s management system was assessed against the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2018. The audit also included a review of the relevant management procedures and documentation.

Development of the Enterprise

Gush Toplumy was established in 2007 and became one of the first major private-sector projects in Turkmenistan supported through preferential state financing provided via the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).

Today, the company’s structure includes poultry farms and meat-processing facilities. It also operates agricultural land in the Ahal and Dashoguzvelayats, which is used for growing feed crops.

Another significant milestone in the company’s development came in 2015, when Gush Toplumy became the first private enterprise in Turkmenistan to receive a national barcode from GS1 Turkmenistan.

Quality and Food Safety

During the certification audit, the company’s management system was assessed against the requirements of two international standards.

ISO 9001:2015 establishes requirements for a quality management system and promotes a systematic approach to managing processes, maintaining quality and continuously improving an organization’s activities.

ISO 22000:2018 establishes requirements for a food safety management system and helps organizations systematically manage risks related to food safety throughout the relevant stages of the production process.

The combined application of these standards allows the enterprise to address product quality, management process efficiency and food safety as interconnected areas of its operations.

The certification audit provided an assessment of the conformity of Gush Toplumy Individual Enterprise’s management system with the requirements of the relevant international standards and its applicability to the company’s primary activity — the production of chicken carcasses in Turkmenistan.
