A Historic Milestone: TSIAC Becomes the First Higher Education Institution in Turkmenistan Certified to 5 International ISO Standards

The Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction (TSIAC) has written a new page in the history of the country's higher education.

At the institute's official ceremony, Marat Khabibulin, a representative of the international certification body CERT International, formally presented the university's leadership with certificates of conformity to five key standards at once: ISO 9001, ISO 21001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001.

TSIAC has become the first higher education institution in Turkmenistan to successfully implement such a comprehensive Integrated Management System (IMS). This event confirms that the institute's operations are built according to advanced global practices, and that its academic and research environment meets the strict requirements of international auditors.

Each of the five standards addresses specific tasks in transforming the university into a modern scientific and educational center:

IMS certification is not merely a confirmatory document, but a foundation for the long-term development of the institute's institutional capacity. Holding certificates from CERT International simplifies joint accreditation procedures, expands opportunities for launching dual-degree programs, and promotes academic exchange of students and faculty with foreign partners.

The application of ISO 9001, 27001, and 21001 standards in applied research and design/survey work increases TSIAC's appeal to international construction and architectural holding companies.

The implementation of ISO 21001 ensures that the institute's graduates gain up-to-date competencies in demand on both domestic and international labor markets.

The introduction of environmental and safety standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) instills in future engineers, architects, and builders a systemic understanding of ESG principles already at the education stage.
